Ragisan.com's Village Forum and Blogs are managed with guidelines by moderators and administrators making judgment calls on content and engagement.  These guidelines are intended to improve the engagement environment within the website through appropriate actions and conversations. Some of these guidelines are more prohibitive, however, and may function as absolute rules. The guidelines/rules are as follows:

• Members may have only one account. 

• Respect the privacy of others. Do not post other's phone numbers, addresses, pictures, etc., without their permission.

• Ensure posts are substantive prior to posting; refrain from posting material that is inflammatory in nature in order to solicit a response from the community. 

• Ideas can be debated and refuted, but people are not to be criticized; personal derogatory comments will not be tolerated.

• Each member will be treated with respect and no member is allowed to engage in public personal attacks on any other member; personal attacks are defined as Personal, Racial, Ethnic, and/or Gender based insults, slurs, or derisive comments.

• Refrain from posting pornographic, sexually offensive, sexually explicit, and objectifying material (Administrator's judgment).  Sexually suggestive images will be heavily scrutinized (we will attempt to maintain the site in such a manner that posts can be shared in work environments with friends and coworkers).

• Use descriptive subject lines (no foul language is allowed in thread subjects) and research your post. This reduces the chances of double-posting and makes searching easier.  Please scan the subjects of the last several days' posts to make sure you aren't duplicating posts. After considering your post topic, post in the correct forum.

• Thread subject lines must be free of foul and offensive language.

• Express opinions while avoiding swearing, offensive and derogatory language.

• Refrain from blatant advertising

• Spamming, commercial-oriented posts and posting of useless/unrelated content is not allowed.

All observed violations to these guidelines should be communicated to the site administrator(s).  In the event a post is found to be inappropriate, the offending post will be edited or removed, and the offending party shall receive no more than two (2) private warnings.  If the behavior continues, the member's access may be revoked up to, and including, permanent removal.

Having no absolute rules means that the moderators/administrators will use their best judgment in moderation and the decisions are final.  Anyone found to be disrupting the community can be ultimately banned/removed.

Ragisan.com Signature Guidelines

​

• Signatures will be no longer than 5 lines.

• Signatures may contain a link to your personal site, if that site doesn't conflict with the guidelines/rules of the Village.

• Signatures are expected to follow the same guidelines as posts, which means no inflammatory comments, swearing, personal attacks or adult material are allowed.

Those violating the signature guidelines will be asked once to change their signature. Failure to comply or multiple violations may result in being banned from the community. Thank you for your understanding and for improving the community in which we engage each other.
